The baby doll is such a wonderful toy that we want ALL children will be able to possess and play with one during their toddler years (cry baby doll). This is due to the fact that baby dolls have a lot of potential for teaching youngsters about themselves and the world around them.

Baby dolls provide numerous possibilities for children to improve their cognitive, fine motor and self-help skills. Children frequently find it simpler to practise these skills on someone (or something) else before applying them to themselves. And, because boys often develop some of their fine motor and self-dressing skills later than girls, it is critical that they be exposed to more practice opportunities.
1) Dramatizing with a doll: Around the age of two to three, children begin to act as if their doll can see and interact with them. They may sequence many actions with the doll, such as feeding, bathing, and putting her to bed. This type of pretend play is a critical aspect of their cognitive development (cry baby doll).
2) Removing Clothes: Though some clothing articles are simpler to remove than others (such as those infant socks that never stay on their small feet! ), children typically benefit from practising on a doll before doing so on themselves. 3) Putting on clothes: Putting on clothes might be difficult and is usually MUCH simpler when done on a doll first. Common clothing items that children can practice on dolls and themselves include putting on a hat, zipping with assistance, putting on shoes, pulling pants up, putting on a shirt, and buttoning large buttons.
4) Using both hands in midline: This skill is expected to evolve about a year and a half and usually coincides with the development of other skills such as zipping/unzipping or carrying the doll while attempting to feed it (cry baby doll).

8) Grooming & Hygiene: Dolls are a great way to practice grooming and hygiene skills including brushing hair, cleaning teeth, and washing hands.
9) Potty training: A youngster with an active imagination can benefit greatly from employing a doll to assist with potty training. While abilities like signalling distress over soiled pants and sitting on a toilet chair with help are skills that a kid must acquire in himself or herself, they can be practised on the doll by either the caregiver or the child himself/herself.
